The article deals with the evaluation of the influence of the material properties of electrical sheets on the quality of the shearing edge. Electrical sheets are used mainly in the electrical industry due to their magnetic properties. Due to their sensitive magnetic properties, the quality of processing of these materials plays a fundamental role in achieving high performance and low energy losses. One of the decisive technological processes of their processing is shearing, during which a shearing edge with certain geometric and qualitative characteristics is created. The aim of this article is to analyze the influence of the material properties of electrical sheets on the quality of shearing at different punch-die gap sizes. The cutting surfaces cut with a punch-die gap of 1% and 10% of the thickness of the cut material were investigated.

The article deals with the evaluation of the influence of the shear gap size on the tear-off angle size when shearing electrical sheets. Electrical sheets, thanks to their magnetic properties, are used in various industries. One of the technologies for processing these materials is shearing. During shearing, the quality of the sheared surface is evaluated, among other things, which in the case of electrical sheets can also be evaluated by the tear-off angle size. The aim of this paper is therefore to analyze the influence of the shear gap size on the shearing quality of electrical sheets at different shear gap sizes evaluated by the tear-off angle size. The sheared surfaces cut at a shear gap size of 1% and 10% of the thickness of the cut material for three types of electrical sheets were examined.

During the primary acid leaching of the sludge containing copper, manganese and zinc, the leachate composed of manganese and zinc ions as major components was obtained, isolating copper components. Zinc and manganese were separated from the primary leachate by oxalic acid precipitation and carbonate precipitation, respectively. The copper sulfate was recovered from the primary leaching residue by secondary acid leaching. Any harmful solid waste and wastewater (metal ion concentration<5mg/L) were not generated in the proposed process.

Paper Title :: A Review of Compressive Properties and Size Effects of Geopolymers in Recycled Concrete
Author Name :: Yuting Deng, Ge Tang
Page Number :: 24-27
:: 10.9790/1813-14112427

Geopolymer recycled aggregate concrete (GRAC), a green material, has dual functions. It uses industrial waste to replace cement in geopolymeritious cementitious materials, reducing CO2 emissions, and substitutes natural aggregates with recycled aggregates to solve problems like construction waste disposal and over - consumption of sand and gravel, meeting global carbon neutrality goals. However, GRAC is a semi-brittle material with size - dependent effects, where mechanical properties decline as dimensions increase........

Paper Title :: Key Behavioural Indicators of Low Academic Performance in Online Units
Author Name :: Dolorees Maikah, Dr. Mvurya Mgala, Dr. Obadiah Musau

Online education has expanded access to higher education, but performance in online mandatory units remains a persistent problem. The research synthesizes existing empirical studies to determine the key behavioural predictors of poor academic performance in online units. Infrequent logins, decreased time spent studying learning resources, low levels of forum participation, and lack of regular submission of assignments are identified as strong predictors of poor performance. These behaviour markers are a foundation for early warning systems, pedagogical change, and institutional policy development. By locating findings in Open, Distance, and e-Learning (ODeL) environments, the research accentuates the imperative of pairing behavioural analytics with supportive interventions to enhance student retention and academic performance.

Bamboo is a fast-growing and ecologically significant plant that contributes to hydrological stability, soil conservation, and sustainable construction, particularly in tropical regions such as Bali. Beyond its mechanical and ecological importance, bamboo culms serve as natural water reservoirs capable of storing substantial volumes within their internodes. This hydrological function is strongly influenced by climatic factors such as rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed, which regulate water absorption, storage, and transpiration processes within bamboo tissues......

Leachate contamination from improper waste disposal poses serious environmental and health risks, particularly in urban academic settings like the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Leachate, a toxic liquid formed from decomposing waste and rainwater infiltration, contains harmful pollutants such as heavy metals, ammonia, and nitrates. If left unchecked, it can contaminate soil and shallow groundwater sources essential for domestic and institutional use.....

Paper Title :: Influence of Punch Coatings and Punch-Die Clearance on Blanking Force
Author Name :: Vladimír Rohaľ, Tomáš Jezný
Page Number :: 58-62
:: 10.9790/1813-14115862

Blanking electrical steel is a key manufacturing operation. The magnitude and evolution of the blanking force directly affect process stability, tool wear, and energy demand, and indirectly affect the integrity of the sheared edge. Punch–die clearance, tool–workpiece interfacial friction, and the geometry and condition of the cutting edge strongly shape local plastic deformation and the fracture mechanism, and thus the form and peak of the force–stroke response. The aim of the experiment was to quantify the effects of punch–die clearance and punch coatings on the blanking force......

Author Name :: Tomáš Jezný,Vladimír Rohaľ

The article investigates how welding speed affects the properties of hardmetal layers, with a particular focus on evaluating the abrasive wear of coatings produced by tubular wire welding technology. The layers were deposited using Fluxofil 54, a flux-cored wire supplied by ESAB. During sample fabrication, two different welding speeds were applied — 125 m/min and 18 m/min. The study then aimed to determine how abrasive wear depends on the hardness of different abrasive materials.Two types of abrasives were used in the experiments: silicon dioxide (SiO₂, silica) and aluminum oxide..........

Lithium compounds play an extremely important role in the production of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium ions in wastewater and amorphous boron compounds of Kırka Boron Plant, where Turkey's important boron mine is extracted, were determined. Lithium ions from wastewater and boron compounds were recovered by using an absorbent containing redox type spinel LiMn2O4. The pH value of the solution and the concentration of the absorbent were investigated as suitable working conditions for the determination of lithium ions. Appropriate pH value was determined as 9.85 and absorbent value.....

Author Name :: Ahmet Böbrek

In this paper, two different system architectures—cloud-based processing and local inference using TinyML—for image-based anomaly detection using the ESP32-CAM microcontroller are investigated and contrasted. Images taken by the ESP32-CAM were sent to a local server in the cloud-based configuration, where anomaly identification was carried out externally. On the other hand, the edge-based method allowed for on-device image categorization without the need for network access by training a MobileNetV2 model straight onto the ESP32-CAM utilizing the Edge Impulse platform......
