The paper presents a research on stability of suspension of harness conductors to the bearing terminals of overhead power lines, taking into account the impact of the influencing factors. A methodology has been developed for determining the maximum deviation of the bearing terminals at different degrees of unevenness of the loads on the harness conductors. A first-order mathematical model is obtained after conducting a saturated screening design experiment and a subsequent simplex screening design for six influencing factors. The proposed methodology makes it possible to determine the level of stability of the bearing terminals for harness conductors when examining the reliability of overhead power lines by mechanical parameters.

Paper Title :: A Special Note on Multi-Objective Optimization of Engineering Structures

A common procedure in solving multi-objective structural optimization problems consists mainly of two phases. The first phase is to generate an approximate Pareto-optimal front of non-dominated solutions, while the second is to apply an appropriate technique, such as TOPSIS to rank the potential solutions and select one by the decision maker. In this way, there is no guarantee to find a single optimal solution as the best with respect to all design objectives because improving one of them usually deteriorate another. This paper introduces a novel approach to overcome such uncertainty by determining the optimal relative importance of each objective based on making the attained optimization gains in all objectives too close to each other. As a practical application of optimizing engineering structures, the developed mathematical model is implemented to solve the benchmark problem of a two-bar truss structure constructed from thin-walled circular tubes. Optimal solutions are obtained by applying a robust hybrid genetic algorithm and sequential quadratic programming.

Why do some patients have no treatments when they arrive at a hospital service? Now and then, it is due to the lack of an effective implementation of a hospital referral network. The implementation of a hospital referral network to promote healthcare is associated with the better global articulation of all hospital centers and their multidisciplinary teams. This permits lowering health care costs for patients and National Health Systems. We here present an example of the implementation of a Hospital Referral Network with all its benefits and improvement of patient treatments. The results show an efficiency of ~ 95% of patient treatments and a 17% cost reduction.

Paper Title :: Promotion of nursing care in welcoming cancer patients to the OR: a scoping review
Author Name :: A. Baleizão, M. Felizardo
Page Number :: 19-27

Background The surgical procedure is understood by the oncological patient as a risky event. The emotional unbalance caused, namely the emotional vulnerability, may affect the postoperative recovery. The preoperative visit consists in a first contact between the Operating Room (OR) nurse and the surgical patient, to assess and identify his needs and plan the intraoperative period. The welcome to the OR should be adequate to the needs and characteristics of the patient and facilitate his adaptation to this reality. Methods These nursing interventions allow the care humanization through the psychologic/emotional support and in the transmission of information of the surgical procedure........

A high percentage of transient faults are not cleared correctly, therefore, the electrical service is interrupted, affecting the development of society and the quality index of distribution companies. The objective of this work is to provide a methodology to improve the quality indices in the electrical service, through the simulation of three-phase reclosers in distribution networks through the coordination of SCADA and radio link systems. The foregoing ensures the reduction of TTIK interruption times and FMIK frequencies. The case study uses real data from the three-phase reconnection system located in the middle of the feeder circuit located on Calle Colon of Canton Milagro, province of Guayas – Ecuador.......

In early January 2021, the health system of the city of Manaus, a metropolis in the Brazilian Amazon, faced the problem of a lack of medical oxygen for its patients. Health facilities due to overcrowding, caused by the Covid-19 disease, led to several deaths from suffocation. On January 14, 2021, with the shortage of input, there were 176 confirmed deaths in the city of Manaus. It was clear that the use and management of this input needed to be improved. In this sense, the general objective of this work is to present a proposal for a system for monitoring and controlling oxygen consumption for a hospital nurse in Manaus. The methodology used was the scientific-technological one, consisting of two parts.........

The laminar flow model is used to simulate the two-dimensional, constant flow field of three tandem cylinders, focusing on the effect of different cylinder diameters and spacings on the structure and characteristics of the flow field. It is found that under the condition of Re=50, periodic vortices with stable shedding occur in the tail flow field of the cylinder. The increase of the distance between the cylinders will cause the extension of the length of the upstream tail flow field and the growth of the drag coefficient of the cylinders at both ends of the distance,........

Sweaden agriculture is still the choice of most people, especially those who live on small islands. The small island in Southeast Sulawesi holds a large amount of potential, especially the potential of forest resources which, if managed wisely, can provide welfare for people who live around the forest, especially swidden agriculture who cultivate forest land with local wisdom that can guarantee the sustainability of the forest ecosystem also means the survival of human on the island. In fact, the existing forests have suffered a lot of damage due to exploitation for the purpose of opening up plantations and mining land and the occurrence of illegal logging by a number of irresponsible persons.......
