Almost one-third of older people experience fallscaused bymedical factors and/or frailty.Falls may lead to devastating results. The rapid increase in life expectancy has made fall-detection and analysis an important issue. In order to identify trends and the state of the art in fall risk and balance assessment in older people, this paper carries out a review of the literature in this field. The focus has been on works that studied various assessment tools developed for fall risk assessment in people above 65 years old. The reviewed papers are categorized into two large groups of Clinical Fall Risk Assessment Methods and Quantitative Fall Risk Analysis Methods. For the studies in the first group, in addition to the contribution and limitations of each cited work, thevalidity and reliability factors are highlighted............

The sanitary quality of water was evaluated in two micro basins, Bacaxá and Capivari belonging to the Lakes Basin St. John in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for colimetric and parasitological analysis. Analyses were performed seasonally over a year and the levels of Escherichia coli were within the recommended only in the summer of 2012 and fall, and inappropriate with levels above recommended in winter, spring and summer of 2013 in both the micro basins. Through our observations, we compare the average values of the levels of total coliforms and Escherichia coli between both rivers. Initially, the samples indicate a similarity between the distributions of coliforms and Escherichia coli. However, Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon test samples indicate that the distributions are different...............

This study firstly examines the current literature concerning software project implementation problems, the instances of culture within an organization and dimensions of organizational structure. A quantitative approach was adopted to understand the association between organizational structure and project success with a possibly mediating effect of culture with data generated using the cross sectional survey design. Different stakeholders, 89 of them including (top management, project manager, project team members) from 10 banks within Port Harcourtaxis were administered the questionnaire, and a bootstrap framework was used to test if the effect of external physical instances of culturehave the ability to take on internal psychological significanceThe Cronbach alpha test was adopted to ascertain the internal reliability of the instrument................

Heavy snow areas account for about 50% of the total land area of Japan. Extension of healthy life expectancy is an important issue for residents of heavy snow areas because most of these areas in Japan are depopulated areas. Skiing is a possible lifelong sport in heavy snow areas because gravity rather than muscular power is mainly utilized in skiing. However, in Japan, the number of skiers has declined to 30% of the peak number. This study was conducted with the aim of recovery of the popularity of skiing, and establishing skiing as lifelong winter sport. World-level success of Japanese alpine ski racers is an important factor for the recovery of the popularity of skiing. In this study, the skill of an alpine ski racer was investigated by using a 3D CAD model of a skier with focus on joint work and energy balance in the turn motion.

The optical wireless communication systems have got greater popularity in the previous couple of years because of its benefit over conventional radio frequency conversation structures. This paper reviews the effect of the usage of NRZ ,RZ and Gaussian pulse generator modulation codecs on the performance of the optical wireless communique (OWC) channel in terms of Quality factor aspect and Minimum BERat bit rate of 10 Gbps. It has been watched that NRZ function generator gives better execution for optical wireless association conversely with RZ and Gaussian association for different values of aperture diameters and range.

Water jet issued from flip bucket at the end of the spillway of a dam can be a threat for the stability and safety of the dam body due to subsequent scour at the impingement point. However, a strong jet from the flip bucket interacts with the surrounding air and develops into an aerated turbulent jet while the jet impact and scouring effect is reduced significantly. Aeration of the jet, at the same time, cause head losses along the trajectory. An experimental study is conducted to measure the trajectory lengths and investigate the effect of water depth in the river on the dynamic pressures acted on the river bed. The trajectory lengths with and without air entrainment are calculated using empirical equations and compared with the measurements.............

Constructivist approaches of learning in science suggest that learners can only make sense of new situations in terms of their existing understandings. Previous information is used by learners to interpret observations; meaning is constructed by individuals in a process of adding to or modifying their existing opinions (Driver, 1983; Osborne and Freyberg, 1985; Scott, 1987). The effects of such a view are that teachers need to find out the learners' opinions in order to take these into account in their teaching. Teachers then need to ensure experiences which difficult the learners' current understanding in order to help them restructure their opinions. One sample of a teaching and learning sequence which defines this kind of way is shown in Appendix 1 (Driver and Oldham, 1986)

In the first variant recognition algorithm uses the "proximity principle" and finds the minimum norm of the difference of the presented numerical matrix image with a numerical matrix of reference images. Recognition algorithm uses the "proximity principle" and finds the minimum norm of the difference between presented numerical matrix for image with a numerical matrix of reference model. Found the minimum norm is the key to classification. In the second embodiment computes the dot product of a vector image on target vectors. Due to the prevalence of stepper motors (SM) in 3D- printers, in article is reviewed the technique of algorithms synthesis for actuators control with SM. The prescribed trajectory in this work is given by the tabular method, on the basis of job control points applied to spatial models manufactured parts. Therefore, a predictive system depends on risk factors will help in early detection of this disease. Here we used an ID3, by WEKA software, J48 algorithm to build a predictive system of a classifier tree to classify the dataset groups of risk factors according to its priority and gives a future likelihood to develop cancer, the results show that the family history is the most affecting factor in addition to other factors

The optimization of a car body in terms of cost can be achieved by using different materials in various positions of the car in order to utilize specific properties of each different material. The paper deals with the methods of mechanical joining used in car body production as alternatives to the most used conventional resistance spot welding. Load-bearing capacities of the joints made by mechanical joining and resistance spot welding of various materials used in car body structures are compared. The mechanical joining is mainly used to join material with various thicknesses, mechanical properties, surface coatings, even ferrous or non-ferrous metals.

Concerning considerable changes in production of tinplates and still higher requests on their properties there is requirement to use such methods on their evaluation, which are able to determine especially mechanical and plastic properties of sheets quickly and with the low costs. Following of present know-how there were developed new testing methods, which correspond more to steel sheets stress during technological treatment (concerning their stress-strain state).
